Last week Bryanna started Preschool. She loves it. Everyday she comes home and tells us about her day. She tells us about her friends, but only knows a couple of names. Bryanna goes to school everyday, all day. I know that's a lot for preschool, isn't it! But she does great! She is excited because when Mom and Dad work, Brett drops her off in the morning and picks her up after school to go to Grandma's house. I am so lucky we have such a great school. Brett is even allowed to drop in at lunch time to see how Bryanna is doing. Anyways, back to Bryanna's first days, she tells us that everyday there is quiet time after lunch. She has to stay quiet for 30 min, but she "would rather get up and play." One of her favorite things to do so far is going outside to the playground. She always has something fun to report.

I have a 7th grader!!!
Well, well... not a whole lot makes me feel old, but admitting that my first born is soon to be a teenager, does it! That's right Brett is soon to be 13 and started 7th grade this year! As summer vacation came to an end, Brett's idea of not wanting to go back to school grew. Already sounds like a teen, doesn't he! Anyway, the big day came, and he was ready to go. Of course I had to find the camera to capture the moment.
I guess he's making sure I remember where he's going in case he doesn't make it. LOL
Getting picked up and dropped off at school with blaring metal music in a cool car by your Uncle Dylan is much cooler than getting dropped off by Mom in the minivan :)
"Bye Mom"
"Alright already, Goodbye Mom"
More pictures? Yep. Here's Brett home from his first day of school. Grandma Jan picked him up and brought him home.
Happy to report that despite Brett not wanting to start school again, he has decided that he likes it! He's having a blast so far, he even decided to join the soccer team! Very exciting! I hope this enthusiam continues once the newness wears off and homework begins. For now I smile and watch my baby grow up to be a young man.
State Fair!
This year was a memorable State Fair trip. We were there for 13 hours. Even more remarkable than that was that our kids were good the whole time! They actually had a blast from beginning to end. The kids enjoyed the rides and playing games in the Midway, while Randy and I were happy looking around and telling the "back when we were kids" stories to Brett. We tried a little of this to eat, then a little of that, but really not too much considering how long we were there. My folks met up with us a couple of times and we enjoyed looking through the fair with them. We had a great time. Here are a few pics from our 13 hour adventure.
