Halloween!

Halloween time has come and gone again! Our family had a great Halloween this year. We carved our pumpkins the night before. Each of the kids had their own pumpkin to design and help carve. It was messy of course, but all of us had a good time.
Halloween day was very exciting. This is the first year that all the kids really understand what's happening. Being Halloween was on Saturday this year, the girls tried getting ready all day long. They were ready to trick or treat by 10 in the morning. Much to their disappointment, costumes did not go on until 4:30. Once everyone was dressed, their game was on. Trying to trick or treat from our house until it was time to go out. Finally the time came. Brett stayed home with Randy and handed out candy. The girls hit the trick or treating trail. Bryanna and Braelynn did great! They said "trick or treat" and "thank you" at every house. That is until the end when Braelynn started getting tired. At that point she would get to the door and I would remind her "what do we say girls" and Braelynn would look at the person in the house and flat out say "I'M TIRED" and soon after that the protest began. Braelynn would not go up any stairs, she would sit down and say she needed "a little rest." So, Bryanna finished up and home we went with quite a loot!

Braelynn liked the slimey guts of the pumpkin.

Bryanna thought it was a little gross, but still liked it

I HAVE A TEENAGER!

Well, it's official. I am the mother of a teenager! Yep, Brett turned 13 on 10/21. I can't believe it. My first little baby, a grown up teenager. Now I know that age is just a number, but for some reason when a child turns into a teenager, I think overnight there is some kind of metamorphosis. He went to bed my baby, and woke up a crazy teenager. He loves the phone, and he has become a texting fool! I can't imagine what the future teen years hold. I'm just lucky he's such a good kid! (Most of the time)
Brett's cake

Brett got a book from one of his favorite series

He also got a couple Transformers he wanted

Oh yeah... He's a teenager. He also got a cell phone. Help me!
He's already a texting maniac!

Blow out all the candles... Mom is not ready for any girlfriends yet.

And this was Uncle Dylan's present to Brett! A face in the cake for the new teenager!

Disney road trip

We went to see the Disney Rockin Road Show a couple weeks ago. I know maybe not as exciting as the title may lead you to believe, but still a lot of fun. The whole family went and we all enjoyed the show, even Brett (who I thought might find it a bit boring!) I think the best part of the whole show was when Cinderella came out on stage and the girls got so excited. Yes, can you believe it... we saw the real Cinderella. Here are just a few pictures from the show.
The Disney gang on a road trip to find talent for their talent show.

Yea! Tigger!

The girls were so excited when Cinderella came out, they were
jumping and clapping! It was exciting just to see them so excited.
Buzz, Woody, and Jesse from Toy Story showed up too.

Of course Mickey and Minnie were there.

Family + Fall = Fun!

For the past 3 years now, we have made a yearly trip to Country Sun Farm on Hwy 36 in Stillwater. At Halloween, they decorate the farm for the kids to run around and have fun. It's the perfect opportunity for parents to take fun pictures. We had a lot of fun again this year. The farm and attractions stay the same, but as the kids get older, they find new things they like.

Bryanna and Braelynn liked feeding the sheep.

Brett feeding the calf.

Here's Brett and Braelynn on the Hayride.

My Babies!
I think this is the first hayride Bryanna and Braelynn have ever been on.

Brett and Bryanna out "cruisin'" on the tractor.

Braelynn wanted to go on this pink tractor as soon as she saw it.
She wouldn't do anything else until then.

Bryanna liked the pink tractor too!

Brett gets this picture each year!
It's still funny, year after year!

I decided I had to pose in at least one cut out.
Who says the parents can't play too.

The kids posing in the trailor of pumpkins!

Bryanna's so cute

Randy gets to play too!

Bryanna the "good witch"

Braelynn- my little tiger!

Inside the greenhouse, Bryanna finds the perfect pumpkin.

Braelynn ran back and forth looking at all the different things in the greenhouse.
It was not easy to capture her picture.

I think Brett was having fun too!

The girls filling the baskets with all the fun things they found.

Finally, Brett and Braelynn look at the painted face pumpkins.

All in all, another fun trip to Country Sun Farm.
